My research ranges from traditional close reading to computational text analysis and econometrics. I love sifting through a thousand pieces of eighteenth-century paper until I find a sliver that makes everything start to fit together, and I love coding hundreds of letters until patterns emerge. In broad terms, my research is guided by one overarching principle: How can I innovate?
